Today marks the beginning of the Macworld 2009 expo at San Francisco's Moscone Center. The expo will run all week, but will culminate early on Tuesday with Apple's final keynote at the expo, to be delivered by Phil Schiller. We have created a Macworld San Francisco 2009 section on the forum to house discussions relating to the expo.

An application so requested that it spawned a thread over 100 pages and 1000 posts long will finally be in the hands of hundreds of eager pranksters. Cracked Screen, written by our very own Stephen.4, is available now on Cydia for jailbroken devices. "Oooops", by Appliya, will be available on the iTunes store as soon as Apple gets around to reviewing it.

Hundreds of disgruntled 30GB Zune users on the official Microsoft Zune forums are reporting that, as of 12:00 AM Pacific time, their devices are no longer functional. The digital players are not responding to typical reboot sequences and, so far, the only user-provided solution involves cracking the back off the device. The bug appears to be similar to the Y2K bug that affected some electronic devices and software systems at the beginning of the millennium. There is no word from Microsoft yet on any reasons or solutions for this problem. There is no indication that iPod devices will be affected by this bug, which seems to be constrained only to a specific Zune model.

As a reminder, please keep comments on this story mature. In particular, there is no need to flame Zune users.

Looks like Tapulous' venerable Tap Tap Revenge and Tap Tap Dance titles will be facing some healthy competition, coming from the oddly familiar-sounding Guitar Rock Tour. Released by gameloft, the game is available now on iTunes. rmc08, one of our members, has reviewed the game. Read the review now to decided which fast-tapping game is right for you.

One of our members kockgunner has reviewed Griffin's Nu Form case for the 2nd-generation iPod touch. Read about it here.

One of our members, rafarquhar, has reviewed the PDO CarFM Transmitter. Anyone looking to connect their touch to a car audio system that doesn't have an auxiliary input should definitely read the review.

thechungster has put together a complete review of X-Plane-Airliner, a new flight simulator by Laminar Research, makers of the venerable X-Plane 9. If you've ever wanted to get behind the wheel of the iconic Boeing 747 or the behemoth Airbus A380, this might be just the thing. Read the entire review.

We've been getting a lot of questions about alternative ways of following the latest developments at iPod touch Fans, so today we are happy to announce some great developments.

First of all, the best way to get all of the news from iPod touch Fans as soon as it's posted is to use our Front Page News RSS feed:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/ipodtouchfans/news
You can add this feed to your desktop RSS reader, online feed aggregators like Google Reader, or even reader Apps like Web Feeds ($3.99) or Free RSS Reader.

We have also set up a Twitter account, which we will be using for notable news, behind the scenes snippets, and commentary:
http://twitter.com/touchfans
We would love to hear some reader input on what exactly you would like to see on our Twitter feed! Make sure to "Follow" us if you have a Twitter account. The Twinkle app by Tapulous, the makers of Tap Tap Revolution, is a great way to keep up with this medium.

We also like to hear from our members, and we've seen a rise in tips being sent to our general contact address. We took the hint and set up a dedicated tip line for news, application announcements/promo codes for review, and anything else of note:
tips@ipodtouchfans.com
Of course, the most reliable and traditional experience will always be right here, on the front page, and in the forums. Make sure to bookmark iPod touch Fans if you haven't already!

One of our members, celebi23, has just posted about an interesting discovery: The configuration files for Rolando actually contain references to 18 more levels that seem to have been stripped from the game at the last minute. Is this evidence of a forthcoming expansion pack or sequel, or is it just the result of last minute tweaking to make the game experience perfect?

While some are speculating about future prospects for Rolando, others are still enjoying the game in its current form. Wildman94 has put together a review of the game for those that are still deciding whether to buy it or not.
